Kelly is a self-taught artist best know for her acrylic abstract paintings, and more recently photography.
“Diagnosed in 2000 with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease its effects have reduced my ‘outward’ ability in so far as movement, motion and speed are concerned ~ yet ~ ‘inwardly’ I still operate at a very fast pace. Photography allows me to better understand the inner and outer pace as I capture living and moving things and see the beauty of the stillness in the photograph.”
“As an artist, I am influenced by many things but I feel very strongly about the inspiration I gather from my memories of the range of beauty and vivid colours in my Mother’s flower gardens.”
Born in Windsor, Ontario in 1960 and relocated to current home, Calgary, Alberta in 1993.
